We’re looking for a reliable Trade Assistant to support a heavy diesel machinery refurbishment project in Rotorua.

About the role:

• Assist with heavy diesel machinery strip-downs, undercarriage removal, repairs, rebuilds, and reassembly.
• Support hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical repair work.
• Perform cleaning, parts handling, workshop maintenance, and paint preparation.
• Assist with tools, materials, outsourced repairs, and incoming parts.
• Support testing, commissioning, leak rectification, and quality checks.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

What we’re looking for:

• Previous heavy diesel mechanical & workshop experience preferred
• Good practical skills and a willingness to get stuck in
• Reliable and safety-focused
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
• Ability to work well as part of a team
