Landscape Architect(Urban Design)
Lead placemaking and landscape projects that create vibrant, accessible town centres and strengthen local businesses and community connections in NSW

- 12 month contract with possible extension
- $77.68 per hour + Super
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver placemaking initiatives, public realm improvements, activations and landscape projects that strengthen local identity, support businesses and create vibrant community spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead small-scale placemaking, landscape and public realm projects.
- Deliver place activations, public art and town-centre improvements.
- Develop project plans, budgets, timelines and risk controls.
- Prepare design briefs, business cases and procurement documentation.
- Manage consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Engage with businesses, community members and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate initiatives with capital works, events and economic development programs.
- Monitor and evaluate project outcomes.
- Prepare professional reports, presentations and Council briefings.
- Provide specialist advice on landscape design and place enhancement.
You will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, Urban Design, Project Management or equivalent experience.
- At least five years’ relevant post-graduate professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of placemaking, urban design and place activation.
- Experience delivering public art, activation or public realm improvement projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects from concept through to completion.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong AutoCAD skills.
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- A current Class C Driver Licence.
- Local government experience is highly desirable.
