Lead civil infrastructure contracts and projects, managing budgets, claims, risks, stakeholders and delivery across major council works.

Appointments is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator and Project Manager to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of council infrastructure projects.
Working within the Section 7.11 Projects Team, you will manage contracts and projects valued from approximately $10,000 to $70 million. The portfolio includes roads, drainage, bridges, buildings and recreational spaces.
This position requires an experienced professional who can confidently administer civil construction contracts while managing budgets, risks, stakeholders and project delivery from inception through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Administering AS2124 and AS4000 series contracts.
  • Managing construction, consultancy and Design and Construct contracts.
  • Preparing contract documentation, notices and formal correspondence.
  • Assessing claims, variations, extension-of-time requests and payments.
  • Monitoring project budgets, procurement, resources and expenditure.
  • Managing project risks, contractual obligations and emerging issues.
  • Coordinating contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Undertaking site inspections and participating in project meetings.
  • Preparing progress reports and advice for senior management.
  • Ensuring projects meet WHS, quality, budget and delivery requirements.
To be successful, you will have:
  • Eight or more years of relevant project delivery experience.
  • Strong civil infrastructure contract administration experience.
  • Sound knowledge of AS2124 and AS4000 contracts.
  • Experience delivering roads, drainage, recreational or similar infrastructure projects.
  • A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, Project Management or a related field.
  • Strong commercial, financial, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
Experience within local government and formal contract administration qualifications will be highly regarded.
